Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Do you want to copy an illustration or text fragment for a birth announcement, for example, are you looking for a lesson letter or coloring page or do you want to make a video about one of our books and put it online? The answer to this and many other questions can be found below. If your question is not listed, please email info@suvio.org.

  • Have lesson letters or coloring pictures been made for the books from SUVIO publishers?

Yes, you can find all of these (and more) at www.suvio.org/downloads. Also nice for at home!

  • I made a video for my granddaughter of a complete picture book that I read aloud. Is that allowed?

Nice! That is allowed, if the video is only sent to the granddaughter. You are allowed to use it for your own use, but you are not allowed to share it on social media or put it on YouTube.

  • Can I copy a text fragment from an SUVIO author?

If you want to copy a poem, text or illustration from an SUVIO publication, please remember that this work is protected by copyright. Permission must always be requested. In most cases, depending on use, there will also be costs involved. See Licenses.

  • I am a teacher and have purchased an e-book that I want to read as a class and then discuss it together. Can I pass the book on to my students for free?

E-books are also subject to copyright, and this exceeds 'own use'. So this is not allowed.

  • I want to have an illustration from an SUVIO book printed on a birth announcement, is that allowed?

Permission and a takeover fee are required for this. See Licenses.

  • I want to order a book from the publisher. Is that possible?

We only have copies available at the publisher for our own archive. The books go from the printing house directly to the bookstores and libraries. But fortunately there are many well-stocked and nice bookstores in the Netherlands. If the bookseller does not have the book you are looking for in stock, he or she will be happy to order it for you.

  • I would like to have a book that is sold out everywhere and is no longer being reprinted. Does the publisher still have stock?

We only have archive copies at the publisher and we cherish them, especially if a book is no longer reprinted... But take a look at sites such as hadiethschop.nl, boekwinkeltjes.nl, deslegte.com, bol.com. And if that doesn't work, some antique stores offer the opportunity to search for you. You can then conduct a search for them.

  • Where can I find the current vacancies from SUVIO publishers?

For our vacancies, visit the SUVIO website or follow SUVIO on LinkedIn.
